As I peel back the puckered skin of the orange, my mind drifts to you.

Smooth and unassuming was my little piece of fruit, among the others in the market. So thoughtfully placed and then forgotten.

Tearing through pungent vessels full of acidic fluid that stains my fingertips with it's ripe odor. Revealing the tender, stringy, white flesh beneath.

And then, beneath the bitter skin - the treasured, shiny, sweet cells.

Shall I consume it?

I think so.

My favorite color is Chartreuse. I love the gust of breeze that is accompanied by the clunking sound of the train as it approaches.
